  • Village Seeks Proposals for Pop-Up Beer Garden Services

    The Village of Union Grove is seeking proposals from qualified individuals or companies to operate a “pop-up” beer garden on one or more dates in 2022 within the Union Grove park system. With proper oversight and management, the Village believes the events will attract more people to enjoy the Village’s park system and help enhance a sense of community.

  • Public Hearing on Sept. 13 for Sign Code Changes

    On Monday, September 13 at 5 p.m. the Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on an ordinance that would revise the Village’s sign codes with the intent of helping attract and retain businesses. The proposed ordinance would eliminate the downtown-specific sign requirements that were established to maintain a certain style and character in the downtown area by limiting light, colors, size and location of signs.

  • Parks and Recreation Visual Preference Survey

    Community members who were not able to make the Park Planning Workshop on August 19 are invited to complete a Visual Preference Survey to provide input for the Village’s Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan. The survey can be taken online or in-person at the Village Offices. The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, September 3. If you completed the survey during the workshop, please turn your worksheet into the Village Offices by September 3.

  • Main Street “Bounceback Grants” Available to New Businesses

    Considering opening a business in a vacant location in Union Grove? Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has announced grants in the amount of $10,000 available to new or existing businesses and non-profit organizations moving into vacant properties in Wisconsin’s downtowns and commercial corridors.

  • Park Planning Workshop on August 19, 2021

    Have ideas for the future of Union Grove’s park and recreation offerings? We want to hear from you! A park planning workshop will be held online this Thursday, August 19 at 6PM. It is open to residents of Union Grove and the surrounding community.

  • Dispose Household Hazardous Waste Items at Clean Sweep on Aug. 14

    Union Grove residents can properly dispose household hazardous waste items, electronics and appliances at the annual Clean Sweep taking place on Saturday, August 14 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Burlington Wastewater Treatment facility (2100 S. Pine St. in Burlington).

  • Village Board Hears 2020 Audit Presentation

    On July 26, auditors from KerberRose, S.C. presented the annual audit of the Village and Utility funds for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2020.

  • New Online Mapping Tools Available

    New GIS mapping tools can now be accessed from the Village website by clicking on the “Mapping Hub” box found near the middle of the front page. Six mapping tools are currently available, including Parcel Finder, Village Zoning, Future Land Use, Park System, Roads/Infrastructure Plan and Child Safety Zones.

  • Industrial Park Infrastructure Improvements

    The 2021 Industrial Park Infrastructure Improvements project began in early June 2021 and is expected to continue through November 2021. The project area includes York St., Industrial Park Dr. and 10th Ave. (from Commerce Dr. to High St., with the possible inclusion of High St. to Main St.).

  • 39% Turnout for Spring Election

    A total of 1,056 ballots were cast in Union Grove for the Spring Election on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, representing a 39% turnout of registered voters in the Village.
