On February 21, 2022, the Water, Wastewater, Storm Water and Streets Committee reviewed a long-term cash flow analysis prepared by the Village’s financial advisors from Ehlers. The analysis showed a need to submit a conventional rate case application to the Wisconsin Public Service Commission (PSC). Ehlers projects the PSC will increase the Village’s water rates from $4.14 per 1,000 gallons to $5.90 per 1,000 gallons, and the quarterly service charge from $31.83 to $45.36, representing a 42.5% increase in the water-portion of the utility bill, or about a 17.0% increase to the total bill (no rate adjustment is needed for the sanitary sewer utility which remains in a strong financial position).
The Village of Union Grove is now seeking a skilled and public service-minded individual to assist our Public Works Department as a part-time laborer! Heads up local small businesses! Only Christmas trees will be collected and no other yard waste or branches can be collected at this time.
A new “drive-up” dropbox is available at the west end of the Municipal Center parking lot for dropping off tax payments, utility payments, forms or other documents without having to leave your car. Please do not leave cash in the dropbox.
Dog and cat owners can now obtain 2022 pet licenses. The fee for the license is $10.00 per neutered/spayed animals and $15.00 for un-neutered/un-spayed animals. Three or four pets in any one household requires a Pet Fancier’s License which costs $10.00 in addition to the individual licenses. A Kennel License is required for more than four pets; contact the Village offices for more information on the Kennel License.
