We are seeking input from residents of Union Grove and the surrounding community on the Village’s parks system! The survey information will be used to help inform the Village’s Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (CORP).
Road and utilities construction is scheduled to take place this year on Industrial Park Dr., York St. and 10th Ave. as part of the 2021 Industrial Park Infrastructure Improvements project. The work will involve road reconstruction and resurfacing, water and sanitary sewer replacements, drainage improvements and improved pedestrian and bicycle access.
Interested in getting involved in your local government? The Village of Union Grove is seeking applicants for openings on Village Board, Committees and Commissions. To be eligible, applicants must reside within the Village limits of Union Grove. Current openings, as of April 9, 2021, are listed below.
An electronics recycling event will be held at the Union Grove Wastewater Treatment Plant (3710 67th Dr.) on Saturday, May 1, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The following items will be accepted for collection: computers, monitors, circuit boards, cables, printers, mice, keyboards, TV’s, stereos, VCRs, DVD players, power tools, telephones, small appliances and electrical equipment.
The annual Spring Park Clean-Up will be Saturday, May 1 from 10 a.m. to noon (with a rain makeup date of May 8). If you would like to help, meet at School Yard Park and clean up crews will disburse from there. Lunch will be served at School Yard Park for all volunteers after the clean up.
The Village of Union Grove has been selected to receive a $1.0 million grant for infrastructure improvements to its industrial park! The project will help repair roads in poor condition and provide improved sidewalk and bicycle access.
A total of 866 ballots were cast in the April 6, 2021 Spring Election in the Village of Union Grove, which represented a 28.6% turnout of registered voters. To view the unofficial results of ballots cast in Union Grove, click here.
Polls will be open for the Spring Election on Tuesday, April 6, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Union Grove Municipal Center (925 15th Ave.). The ballot will include races for Village Board, School Board, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Court of Appeals Judge and Circuit Court Judge.
Vassallo Lane is scheduled for pavement resurfacing and curb repair work. Construction is scheduled to start on Wednesday, April 7, 2021. Work is expected to be completed by May 1, 2021, weather permitting.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is currently reconstructing roadways in and around the Wisconn Valley Development. As part of this work, construction on Hwy. 11, between 67th Dr. and the West Frontage Road of I-94, is scheduled to begin. The full stretch of Hwy. 11, between Hwy. 45 and the West Frontage Road, will be closed beginning on Monday, April 5, but access to residences and businesses will be maintained during the duration of this closure.
