The Village of Union Grove sewer system had an overflow event at the intersection of Milldrum and 18th Ave from approximately 7:00 p.m. on April 5th to 1:00 p.m. on April 6th. It is estimated that 2500 gallons of liquid, over an 18 hour period, bubbled out of the ground from a break in a force main, buried approximately 8 ft below grade, into the storm catch basin on the northeast corner. All liquid on the ground was sucked up with a Vac truck and hauled to a wastewater treatment facility. The force main was repaired and is currently operational.
