Absentee Voting

Due to COVID-19, absentee voting was encouraged for the General Election to help avoid large gatherings at the polls. In Wisconsin, you do not need to provide a reason for requesting an absentee ballot.

  • Absentee Voting in Person: “Drive-up” absentee voting was available in the Municipal Center parking lot for the two-week period prior to the election. A valid photo ID must be shown to submit an absentee ballot in person. In-person voting was available from Tuesday, October 20 to Friday, October 30 during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and available until 5 p.m. on October 30.
  • Absentee Voting by Mail: You can sign up at http://myvote.wi.gov to have an absentee ballot mailed to you or you can fill out an application form and submit it by email to info@uniongrove.net, by mail to the Village Offices, in-person or in the 24/7 dropbox outside the entrance of the municipal center. A valid photo ID must be included with your application if you have not provided a photo ID to vote by mail in the past. Requests for an absentee ballot by mail are accepted until 5 p.m. on the Thursday before the election (October 29). Absentee ballots can be returned by mail (the certification envelope will already have postage on it). Alternatively, you can return an absentee ballot in-person to the Village Offices, directly to the polls on Election Day or in the 24/7 dropbox outside the municipal center entrance. Absentee ballots must have been received by election day in order to be counted. You check the status of an absentee ballot request at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/TrackMyBallot.
